DIY the look - Summer Sewing Plans

Summer is my favorite season to sew for. Dresses, blouses, co-ord sets, flowy trousers and skirts...
So let's look at some inspiration and see how we can DIY these looks by pairing patterns and fabrics in a fresh way, perfect for a summer outfit.

This dress from & Other Stories is beautiful, and I have just the pattern for it!
The Margo Sundress from JULIANA MARTEJEVS is an almost perfect match. Pair the pattern with a tencel or viscose fabric in a periwinkle blue, and you've successfully DIY'd this look.

This pink dress is gorgeous (from Adoore), and works so well in a fabric with a floral pattern... If this is your vibe, check out yhe Oodi dress pattern here

Sporty Jacket. If you're in the northern hemisphere, like me, you might need some layering pieces, even in summer. If this is your inspo:

Next up: Gingham trousers with an elastic waist... this is on the top of my list for my summer sewing projects! So cute 🥰
For this look I would use the Tyra pattern, and add a drawstring. Or use the Aulio pattern that already has a drawstring.
And make a matching top too!

What's on your "to sew" list this season? 😇
