Gaïa is a classic button-up shirt enhanced by puffed sleeves.
This shirt is an excellent staple to practice collar and cuff assembly, as well as sewing a sleeve slit binding.
Gaïa can be made in a wide range of fabrics. Let’s have fun with it!

Recommended fabrics
The sample is made in a crepe, but many other fabrics are suitable, such as: satin, chiffon, silk, chambray, cotton, poplin, viscose, broderie anglaise…

Fabrics
- 1,50m of 140cm wide fabric (1,70m for sizes 40 and above)
Supplies
- Fusible interfacing
- 9 shirt buttons (approx. 11 mm diameter)
- Approximately 40 cm of bias binding (you can make your own self-fabric bias binding)
